One of many July Holiday Adventures...

My very fortunate 8 year old gets to the Kruger Park every few years with his grandparents...they camp and they have a ball...he is filthy most days and full of the most incredible information, makes friends from all over the country and is completely doted on by his grandparents. So since he got to go off on his own across the country (I did cry a bit), my other half decided at the 11th hour that princess also needed an adventure of her own, including the whole wild animal experience so we set off for Aquila Game Lodge 3 hours in land just past Worcester and Robertson...

My 8 year old and the very talented photographer of these and many more images....

The Arrival at the lodge...very Out of Africa I must admit
Our glamourous, cosy chalet with fire place, huge bathroom, outdoor shower and cosiest bed
Check out that cheeky grin...oh boy..thankfully a lot of space, loads of other children, tough to keep her quiet..

The beautiful well kept animals on show...I felt as though we were watching Khumba..
Great information from the Ranger and quite fascinating, but a little long for the 3 year old (2.5 hours)

A very beautiful location, we were there in winter and it was very cold, but very cosy with fires in the dining room

A fantastic adventure for all of us, at least she knew what her brother was on about when he returned from his two week long safari....but next time it will help if she is a little older...she is quite the feisty madame with very set ideas...we await our life long challenges with joy....

Back to school and into routine....
