Morgan Bay

This year we decided that a road trip was on the cards, our love of the Eastern Cape was calling and we needed to do it...the only issue or potential issue was driving with the kids (16 months and 6 years), so we eventually bit the bullet and off we went....13 hours split up and we survived!

There are a few secrets when traveling with kids; firstly, leave as early in the morning as possible and then, as soon as they wake up, make sure you stop as often as you can. Its just not fun for the littlies.

Morgan Bay is my happy place. Not only is it extremely beautiful, but it has a very special bit of magic...If I can escape there once a year, then I feel human. I think that it is about time I share this special place.

July/August are definitely the secret seasons and the weather was magnificent. The people we met were all divine and of course the hotel owners and staff are always as hospitable as can be...it was a magic week, over far too quickly, but awesome.

Morgan Bay is definitely worth a visit!  The Morgan Bay Hotel is amazing and worth it. We all felt so rested and relaxed. Obviously the experience is very different with children, however it is such a child friendly place...
